Murat Esteves
Barrister - Solicitor
Murat is the founding lawyer of Atraves Legal Services, bringing to Canadian immigration law a perspective shaped by three continents. Born and raised in Turkey with Turkish and Portuguese background, educated in law at Lincoln Alexander School of Law in Toronto, and forged by years of living in Brazil’s Northeast, he carries within him the lived experience of belonging, and of building belonging from scratch in an unfamiliar place.
That multiplicity is not incidental to his practice. He understands, from the inside, what it means to arrive somewhere new and negotiate identity, language, culture, and legal complexity all at once. His clients are not files. They are people in the middle of one of the most significant transitions of their lives, and he treats them accordingly.
Murat is a weightlifter, musician and a loyal Benfica supporter.
Amina Begović
Communication Coordinator
Amina is responsible for keeping the day-to-day operations of Atraves Legal Services running smoothly. As Communication Coordinator, she helps manage client communications, scheduling, documentation, and administrative processes, ensuring that every matter receives the attention and organization it deserves.
Amina takes pride in helping clients feel informed and supported throughout their interactions with the firm. Her ability to balance efficiency with genuine care helps ensure that both clients and colleagues can focus on what matters most.
Outside the office, Amina enjoys reading, discovering new cafés around Toronto, and spending time with family and friends.
Zé Luciano
Portuguese Interpreter
Born and raised in Brazil, Zé brings to Atraves Legal Services a deep appreciation for the role language plays in people's lives. As the firm's Portuguese Interpreter and Translator, Zé assists clients in navigating legal processes with confidence by helping bridge linguistic and cultural gaps. His work helps ensure that important information is conveyed clearly, accurately, and respectfully throughout the client experience.
Outside the office, Zé enjoys retro music, weekend football matches, discovering new books, and maintaining a healthy debate about which city serves the best coffee.
